Tranny/clutch thoughts??
Tranny/clutch thoughts??
Ok, So I brought my EVO9 into the stealership for some regular maintenance. They performed a difference service and a transfer case service. My car had zero clutch issues prior to dropping it off... however, after I picked it up, the issues started; when cruising, If I applied med-full throttle, regardless of RPM, the RPM would rise like my clutch was depressed and then the tranny would catch and it would accelerate. This problem progressed and now, 12 days later, the transmission will not engage at all and when I try, I get a strong clutch smell;I.E., not driveable.... Could a clutch have gone from perfect to slipping to zero functionality in 12 days? Please let me know your thoughts on what this could be. Could they have done anything wrong while servicing it?

They could have abused your clutch.
How many miles are on your car and on the clutch?
How aggressively do you launch and drive, typically?
Did you notice any involuntary clutch slip before the dealer service? It would be noticeable first in higher gears when flooring it, then it'll get progressively worse in lower gears when you hit boost.
