Balance shaft inquiry
Balance shaft inquiry
So I know this subject has been beaten but here it is...
My motor in back together...Iv left the upper balance shaft in that is driven by a belt (no longer gunna be driven by a belt) since it already has oil passages forged into it and Iv got the stubby in the oil pump...
my question is: is any(everyone) putting a block off bearing in for the other end of the balance shaft that is attached to the oil pump or are you leaving it alone and not experiencing to much of an oil pressure drop?
Don't hate to much on the balance shaft delete

ha Ha. ok I will post a support of the BSD. I also went with stay based on tons of reading. I did flip the bearing around and it was a PITA, but engine was out of the car. so I could flip the engine and use gravity as a helper.
Since I didn't leave the channel open My comment won't help for your situation directly. I can say that if you flip the bearing be careful when pressing it back in because it wants to come apart. it's a flat piece rolled onto itself and joined. Smack it enough and it will come apart. guess how I know
