Clutch pedal

Lately I've noticed that there is a bit of no resistance as I press down the clutch, then it gets to a point of normal spring resistance. My question is, is this a sign of a wornout clutch? Or is it something else? My car is completely stock and has 38k miles.

most likely it's just slack, there is an adjustment bolt/net on the pedal under the dash. Carefuly not to adjust it to much if you take out all the slack your pedal (and clutch) won't return after you depress it.
