Can't go wrong following bucshur racing stages or ams stages. Just like most of us on here we have spent way over 1k in mods. But it has been through out the years. So take your time pick the parts you want. You should never rush it. You will get what you want and feel better about it later.

With just 1000 $ to spend I would do a full TBE, intake and tune.

Good advice. I would suggest spending more up front and getting good quality parts, even if it costs more/takes longer to complete your mod path. If you buy quality parts the first time, there is a better chance that it will also be the last time you have to buy it!

since he lives in cali, buy a nice quiet exhaust.....tanabe medallion touring for stealth imo.

There are a lot of great vendors here, give map a call for choice. IMO, hit up Dan@Assaultech, as he has offered the best shipped exhaust prices for me.

if your doing the work on your car:

invidia 02 housing = new or used

new / used evo9 uncrushed bov ~90/100

a drop in air filter ~40

tune

Those 5 items will get you to ~300/320 whp = ~+100 whp from where your @ on 91oct.

where in cali?

if a few bones are left over, get a new walbro 255 fuel pump & a decent ebc = grimspeed or gm... this really depends on your tuners preference.

Enjoy

EmirEvoEight,

What did you end up doing to your car? How far did the $1k go? Are you happy with the changes?

Do.
Nothing.

Save it and wait until after you drive it a while and see what you want to upgrade first.
