evo 8 800hp build help

Ok guys I have a 03 EVO that made 500 on pump gas and 680 on e85. I was coming back from Dallas and the engine blew threw a rod threw the 2.4 block. I was seeing if I can get some options on what parts I should go with. I was looking at a stage 3 buschur racing 2.3 rpm block and stage 3 head. I have FP HTA™ GT3582R turbo will it be good for that much power. The EVO will be tuned with E85. I'm looking to hit the 700-800 hp mark

Im not an expert but for my build I was looking for 700+ on race gas or e85. I was told the hta86r is more fitting for those power levels compared to the hta82. From all of the threads Ive read also put the hta86 in that power range.

you will not hit that with the 3582 I made 775 with the 3586. Go with the hta3794 or 6466 for 800. If you think things break easily at 650 wait until you get over 700 nothing stays togher long. I hope you have deep pockets.

Buschur motors have proven that they can take a beating.

I disagree. If its built right he shouldn't have any issues. Of course there are your normal wear items (clutches, syncros, etc).

for 700-800whp you should get the hta gt3586r. Your hta 3582r on a well prepped car can make 700whp maybe a little more but wont come close to 800whp

If the motor is built properly. But most importantly if the engine is tuned properly then the motor will be fine. PLS remember that AMS, BR, ER, and all motors can and will blow up if the engine is tuned too aggressively. It all depends on the tune. I seen BR motor fails but that was from too much timing and freshman tuners

What are your supporting mods besides the obvious ( turbo kit, e85 tuning blah blah )

I would use a 2.0l block instead of another 2.4. More reliable for big power and less likely to crack.

Change out the turbo also go with a 6466 or something similar.

Also whats your fuel system consist of?

What rods did you throw threw the block? How much boost, what was the timing? Something doesnt seem right if I can make 800+ and never launch a rod and we have several cars making the same level of torque I do, high 590s-630 ft lbs.

the 3rd rod and its at 22 pounds on pump gas and 26 on e85. the wierd thing is that it happen while i was going a steady 76mph on my way back to amarillo from dallas its a 6hr drive and i only needed 2 more hours when it blew. everything seeemd ok. the day before i had the car tunned at evolution dynamics on e85 and drove it on that tune the whole day. The next day i switched it back to 91 to make it to AMARILLO i made sure i switched the tune. i had askd kevin if it was ok and he sed there shouldent b a problem. im not pointing fingers at anyone the damage is done now its about getting it back up and running faster
