Regardless of the size of the return line, the restrictor is always a bottleneck unless drilled. Only the slightest enlargement is required. One wants to be sure to use the specified bit size and not anything larger.

i have a question. not related to the pump but while you guys are on the siphon topic ill ask it. i just noticed recently when i pulled my double pumper out it did not have the siphon. i never knew this and its been in the car for a few years. i have never had issue's without it.

the question is leave it or find one to put on?

I don't know how one side of the tank would be able to scavenge the other without it. We'd have to see what's really going on to comment.

I didn't catch what he wrote before. Interesting. Perhaps slosh from just driving around is getting the job done.

Is it for sure that the fuel tank is solidly divided? I know on the diesel fuel tanks for the semi's I work on they are divided but have holes to allow the fuel to even between the sides. They do this so that the fuel isn't sloshing around from side to side and front to back to prevent weight distribution problems under cornering/braking.

i have never had issues with my fuel level or capacity. not that i filled the car much but even tuning we have blown threw a tank of gas. i then go and fill up and i put 11/12 gallons in. i just bought another stock pumper to use that siphon.
