Evo 8 help with bigger injectors
Evo 8 help with bigger injectors
Just installed 880cc injectors and have yet to get a tune.
When I drive and reach 10 psi it's like it hits the fuel cut. But if I sit there in neutral and rev out the car it seems to be fine. I ve heard that I only need a tune but I'm not sure, any suggestions on what my problem is

The car needs a retune to properly scale the injectors. Driving vs. just revving the engine, the car is seeing different loads which is changing how much fuel it should be dumping in. Get your car retuned and itll be fine.
Ya bad idea on driving with big injectors without a tune. Either install your old injector for dd and then when you are ready for a tune, let the person who is tuning it install the injector or do it yourself and then tune the car with the new injectors.
And yes a tune with fix your problem, like the other member suggested.
Will ask yourself a question, did you have the fuel cut problem before you put the bigger injector?
And always you should get a tune if you are putting bigger injectors.
