First Oil report (blackstone)

Just received the oil report from Blackstone, this is the first time I send them an engine oil sample.

In the comments, it says the engine is in good shape with no signs of coolant or water fuel. Properties at the bottom also read 0.

I look at the ppm levels and immediately I notice "350" in the sodium box. There was no red flags anywhere on the report.

Waiting on a reply from them hoping it's a typo cause I doubt that is from additives in the oil.

What do you guys think?

I have posted up many UOAs from me and other members on here. Sodium on all of those, from quickly scanning through them, seem to be all under 10 ppm sodium. Most were 2-3 with some at 6-8. I would say your numbers are pretty high. I would contact them and ask them about it.

Turns out the sodium was from the additives in the oil.

I had a 5 qt jug of Valvoline Synpower 10w-30 that I used. I know it doesn't really meet our standards, but it was a one time thing. It's all good.

Also, I'd run something with more zinc if you like your turbo. AMSoil and Rotella T6 should be readily available locally regardless of where you live.

I use amsoil 10w-40. But mostly use M1 HM 10w-40.
