Reverse slips on inline only...?
Reverse slips on inline only...?
EDIT: Title is suppose to say incline, oops!
I've never noticed this before, so it definitely wasn't happening prior to yesterday.
I backed my 05 Evo RS track car out of the garage yesterday to finish up some of the shots for a local track magazine. If backed out (on the flat ground) fine, but when I went to turn it around, and back it up an incline, it wouldn't go anywhere. The shifter was "in-gear", but the car would just rev, as if the clutch was slipping. But, driving through 1st and 2nd gear were normal, and I could start on a hill, if I was going forward.
It doesn't grind, so that was weird. The shifter cables all seem to be on and corrent - nothing in the way of them.
Could this be the synchros? Or maybe some play in the shaft that the reverse gear is on (internally)?
The transmission was built at Boostin' Performance not too long before I bought the car.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
