Shifter Lever pin cut in half?

Hello all,

Since I purchased the car back in 08, I have noticed really notchy shifting and sometimes not being able to go into 1st from neutral. ( I would have to go to 2nd first). I figured it was normal evo tranny notchiness.

So recently I have had issues where going into 5th gear would be 3rd and reverse would be 4th. With the help of Trevor from Sheptrans ,Tim Zimmer from TMZperformance and Greg from USC Performance , I was able to find out the pin which holds the white half moon piece that allows the tranny to move to the right shift gates (5th-reverse) was cut in half. This didn't allow the white plastic piece to sit securely on there.

After replacing that lever and a new white plastic piece, it feels like a totally different transmission. More of like my friends RSX-S trans. I have to re-learn how to shift again because it's so precise. I also have underhood shifter bushings which probably help a lot.

Has anyone ever seen this before??
