It should reflect heat better. Titanium is a poor conductor of heat.

I think i'll take my 10 bucks, go to pepboys, buy some polish, and buff up the factory one.

I like the TI one.

Anyone think that by polishing the stock heat sheid, maybe you're polishing off some insulating properties of that coating?
Probably wouldn't matter much, but I'm leaving mine stock.

If you polish only the top of the sheild it won't matter. The bottom of the sheild has a high-temp paint, or something similar, so doing the top is ok. I polished mine and it looks nice, too bad the stock cast manifold under it looks like ****.
