I have Buschurs old fabbed sheetmetal intake manifold and its setup for his 65mm ported throttle body.

I'd like to step up to a 70mm fullblown throttle body soon but Id like to cut off the current flange and have a new one welded on now while the intake manifold is off.

Where could I get a flange? Porting out the current flange isnt doable because the weld on the top of the plenum of the manifold is too close to the flange. I suppose I could have this one cut off though, port it out to 70mm and then reweld that one on???

 

I'll be doing the same soon. This is what I found. Make sure you machine it after welding to get it flat.
