Hi friends,

My initial intention was log boost through EvoScan taking the signal from MAP. Reading here a post say the USDM Evo 9 only have 1 BAR MAP, then one simply form its change for the JDM Evo 9 MAP or Evo X Map.

Well, I bought the brand new Evo X Map and when I was ready to change I can't find the Map in my car.

The reason: My car don't have MAP .



The question is why don't have MAP? . Is there normal?, For all purposes my car is a Evo 9 MR, BUT with this I don't know what Evo Version I have.

Do you can help me with that?

On USDM cars I think the MAP sensor is only used for the EGR system. can you look to see if your EGR is intact?

 

I've never seen one without a map sensor...

Yeah I think some of the EDM cars didn't have them. I remember this coming up before. Found this on another forum:

My VIII is the same. It's an EDM based model that was part of a batch sold by mitsu here in Australia.
