Fuel pressure regulator help
Is it ok to run a universal fuel pump instead of one made for evos just asking cause i seem a nice billet one i want to run I would think they all do the same thing just make sure u drive the right size and psi rating thanks
Wait so which one are you asking about, fpr or fuel pump? If its the fp than figure out if the oem connector actually plugs into it, most of them dont. Make sure you get a wiring kit with the pump
Make sure its the stock lph or you need a tune

Yes you can, as you said, make sure it has a high psi rating (turbo applications).
You'd need a Mitsubishi fuel regulator adapter:

What pump, rail and size of injectors did you upgrade to? Incidentally, are you still on the stock turbo? What brand FPR are you thinking of upgrading to? Any links?
In general a single, intank, 255lph fuel pump upgrade, running on pump gas won't require a FPR upgrade. The stock rail and regulator are adequate for 600+ WHP even on a double pump setup.
To answer your question, the stock regulator is more than up to the job. Probably, you need to upgrade some of your buddies though.
