Notchy Trans when warm

It seems like lately my transmission gets more notchy when it warms up. I've seen countless people say the opposite where theres is notchy when cold and then gets better. I replaced the fluid in it less than 2k miles ago. Any ideas?

1. Use correct fluid.
2. Adjust clutch engagement point.
3. If 1 & 2 are done correctly and it's notchy then send it to a good shop. Jacks transmission has a good write up on this syncro issue.

Just recently did the fluid with the redline cocktail from MAP, I believe it was 2 bottles MT-90 and 1 MTL and I have a 5 spd. I'll have to mess around with the clutch pedal.

I would not send it to a shop just because it notchy. Now if you are getting grinding then yes but notchy IMO no. Evo transmission are just notchy to begin with. I could be wrong but I don't see anything wrong with that. Try some amsoil mtg I put it in mine and its pretty smooth.

I agree.

My '92 DSM ground the 2-3 shift from when it was new and for the next 80K before I finally replaced the transmission. So, yeah, notchy, not so big a deal.

I would suspect the clutch or clutch adjustment.

Same thing happened to me but I was using Royal Purple. When cold my tranny was notchy, after I switched to Amsoil and adjusted the clutch it shifts smooth.

I readjusted the pedal and made the engagement lower than it was before which seemed to do the trick. Only bad thing is sometimes it doesn't want to go into reverse so I may have went to far on the adjustment. I'm going to bring it back up a tad bit more and it should be good.

Also solid shifter base/cable bushings will reduce the notchy feels. ( 40-50$ for both and easy install )
