Tightening the IC piping

If you have experience tightening the ic piping, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions. First, what socket did you use? My 11mm doesn't fit. Neither does my 7/16ths. Also, how tight did you make it (strained for every last turn, or just tight)? Also, how did you get at the clamps connecting to the IC itself? Thanks for your help.

I believe you can tighten the stock clamps with a phillips head. I'd recommend tightening them as tight as humanly possible.

I ditched those after blowing the same one off repeatedly on the dyno for T-Bolt clamps.

I can't get much leverage with the phillips head. Also, how did you get at the clamps connecting the piping to the ic?

I didn't replace those. I just replaced the clamps on the upper piping (Where i kept blowing the damn things off).

Good luck.

Use a 10 mm socket. You can't get them tight enough with the philips head. Also tighten the BOV clamps. They were all loose. I also removed the bumber to tighten the lower clamps which were very loose also.

Another thing I was wondering about was a heat wrap for the intake piping. The piping going into the tb gets too hot to touch. Is there anything that can be done about this?
