Weird Drivetrain issue?Guru's pls help

Not sure where to post this...but I'm assuming its drivetrain related.
(mods feel free to move)

specs about the car
03 evo 8
only drivetrain mods are upgraded lsd in the front transfercase(evo9 stock lsd)
solid mounts (all4)
whiteline front bar
rollcenter adjust kit
white line tie rods
SS clutch line amsoil brake fluid
girodisc 2 pcs rotors and EBC pads all around
Stock trans and transfercase
hotcicks springs and camber plates
perrin rear sway bar

This problem just started occurring recently...

Issue: while driving in the rain and braking WHILE in gear 30% or harder the car goes everywhere like its hydroplaning(taking up at least 2 lanes) and when I brake a little harder it makes a loud clunk sound from the front... i'm basically unable to brake the car goes everywhere (feels like a camry)(feels unsafe to drive so won't until this problem is gone)

same thing as above but while NOT in gear... I can brake 65% and the car brakes in a straight line with no issues....and it actually feels like i'm slowing down a whole lot faster...around 70%-75% the clunk noise occurs again...but still stays straight and brakes hard... (feels like i have brembos)

i'm assuming its my transfercase going out? but not sure where to start looking for problems? no death whine

Axles don't have any rips or tears or leaks
car has 36k
brakes have more then half life
tires are new hancook v12's on 255/40/17////17x9.5 rpf1's 20mm spacer up front
could it be my alignment? I have some toe in the rear...

and during dry conditions it seems as if i have no problems at all... drives fine no noises

Thinking about draining the tc fluid and seeing if it has shavings..

any other pointers would help thanks!

I don't see this having anything to do with the tc, I've been through 3 and have had nothing but wining. Personally I'd put it up in the air, flush the fluid and put new in and see if that helps. The clunk sound seems like a caliper moving like one of the mount bolts is loose but you say nothing when it's dry out? There's really no way to diagnose on the interwebs but again I wouldn't think TC.

What happens when you throw it in neutral and brake the same way you do when you're getting this swaying/clunking problem? The swaying is what makes me think a fluid problem.

I'll drain it... I usually do all my work.. so didn't want to take it to a shop but at this point it'll help, i'm out of ideas.. lol... I think we have some good local shops topspeed, zen etc..

when its dry and if I throw it in neutral and hit the brakes... I have to hit it almost 90-100% in order to hear any noise... then its a slight clunk... not a loud one... I feel as if one of the wheels is locking up before the rest....

i'll drain the fluids and see... if not i'll take it to a shop thanks!

I have taken the car to two track days... and when its dry I haven't had any issues even after hours of hard braking...

malfunctioning abs or calipers? Reason being you can lose traction easier in the rain, so abs can possibly be trying to kick in more in the wet but I don't know how easy you are really braking during the tests, but you say it's when you brake harder.

Also maybe the calipers need a rebuild or something? Havn't had to deal with it myself yet though, so no experience here about the syptoms.

I dunno over the web really like the other guy said. Goodluck.

I just noticed you have giro rotors too. Might wanna check those. Perhaps the 2 piece is loose and heat expansion masks it during hotter days.

Does the abs buzz the brake pedal when you brake hard?
