Issues after Timing Belt Job

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the Mitsubishi world, as I just recently bought an '06 Lancer Ralliart 2.4L with 120,000 KM on the clock.

I decided to attempt a timing belt and water pump replacement myself. I bought a TB kit from NAPA and and a new water pump and a new drive belt.

I followed the appropriate repair procedures and referenced as much 4G69 timing belt replacement videos as I could.

All went well, aside from the fact that there is now a whine from the TB area when the car is cold (I think we over tensioned the belt when fixing the tensioner pulley), but there is also another strange noise coming from what seems like the water pump region (please view the video):

The noise goes away as soon as you rev the car up even the slightest bit and only appears at low idle (~700 RPMs).

Can anyone provide any suggestions as to what this may be?

I was thinking either there is air in the cooling system or the new drive belt hasn't stretched properly yet.

Thank you,

Adrian

P.S. My apologies, If the moderators could move this to the appropriate forum, I accidentally created it under the Evo forum.
