how can I tell which is which.
I bought a 25g kinugawa urbo with an 11.5 hotside. but the invoice say 10.5 hotside. How can I tlwhich on I actually got?

Don't you have a IX turbo on your car? The IX turbo comes with a single-puck MHI 10.5cm housing? Can't you compare the housing on your turbo to the housing that you just purchased? If you have pics....Post them up and someone'll take you out of your misery in short order.

Yeah, I agree, Ratty. Anyways if you really hog out (port) the 10.5 the A/R changes and ends up being very close to an 11.0. As you mention there have been some serious quality control issues with those particular aftermarket castings.

 

The question is how can I tell the difference between a 10.5 and 11.5 what should I look for.
The casting is made by mitsubishi Kinguawa offers an 11.5 housing as well a a port and polish whish they have done and that looks great,if you look up this turbo
other members are have good results, I looking forward to the install. Kinugawa is well known over there ans has a good rep. so for 1/2 the price of a fp and a bb.
For all I know they may have sent me the correct housing. I dont know?

The flapper on the 11.5 is huge. To me, that looks 11.5.
