Will this clutch disc be ok?

I received my new clutch the other day and have been on edge about using it. The tech from Competition said it will be fine and have no effect on longevity or use. Should I send it back or am I just overly worried. Its has two little knicks in it. Apparently this is common on a lot of shipped clutches, I just feel uneasy about it.

I understand your concerns, i would be the same. It looks fine IMO, I have seen the same type of wear and tear from shipping with other clutch manufacturers as well.. But if you truley asked Comp about it, and they said go ahead, I wouldnt worry. I wouldn't take anyone elses word (on this forum) over theirs lol. Just keep what they said to you in writing, just in case

For an expensive clutch it should have been packed better, but it is true a lot show up like that for me too.
I try to smooth any edges down, but I have sent ones back that looked worse than that.

I agree with you tell them to package them better. It was slammed hard enough to chip it? This ain't no damn Honda, that's a lot of force that thing needs to hold.
I've put brake pads on with chips like that, but that only takes twenty minutes to replace if they fail.
He's probably right, but Internal stuff needs to be 100% for me.

I don't see if really hurting anything. However doing a clutch job isn't a cake walk. Plus when I spend good money I expect to receive something that's not "chipped".
