I have a 2005 evo 8, right now it has catback exhaust, intake, a fuel pump, 3-port boost controller, and is tuned by RRE at 295AWHP. I have about $3-4K to spend on mods. I know I am doing injectors and a remap for E85, but what else would you guys do with the money. My friend is telling me to just do an aftermarket turbo, but what supporting mods do I need. I have stocck downpipe and stock intercooler with intercooler piping.

 

You can go with an FP turbo that bolts right up. Any brand of intercooler/piping kit and a down pipe and make an easy 450whp. Depending on your clutch that is. May need to get bigger cams down the road or get with a cheaper stock frame turbo and buy cams now.

You have tons of options with a 4K budget. You may be able to find some great shape used parts and even have more room to work with for more supporting mods.
