Brand new ETS coupler blew up
Brand new ETS coupler blew up
I recently changed out my UICP for a brand new stock route ETS one to match my ets lower. The throttle body coupler was brand new and upon installation, it looked as such. After about 1k miles or so, I was accelerating on the freeway at stable throttle (not wot) at around 20 psi and then *POP*. Over the years I've had a few instances of the coupler popping off the tb and I thought this was the same, but nope! Check out this hole in the elbow...
Anyone else experience this? Manufacturing defect or something? It was installed correctly and not damaged. I was really surprised. Anyways, I wrapped that bad boy up with some electrical tape on the side of the freeway and made it home where I had my generic old one to replace it.

That is crazy btw. I was expecting to see some crazy high boost level in your signature. It has to be some sort of defect as those things dont just blow apart at 20psi.

Much love for ETS, hence why I upgraded my upper to match my ets lower haha. Just was super surprised. Ish happens tho.
I was stable throttle at about 20 psi when this happened. My tune peaks at 29 psi.
