I have a 03 evo and recently started whining so i immediatly thought it was the transfer case so i checked the fluid level and it was full and the oil didnt smell burnt. then i moved on to the tranny and checked the fluid level and it was almost 1quart low(its always a little low since it leaks a good amount). In the vehicle it sounds like the initial sound is right underneath my seat. A buddy of mine possibly mentioned something wrong with the drive-train? anyone had a similar experience that would like to shed some light on the situation thanks
