Post Battery Relocation OEM EvoX (Part Numbers)

So my car originally came with a very bad hack job of a battery relocation to the trunk, of course there are many kits out there and some very good DIY guys, I like things to look OEM and keep it simple really, and also I'm not an electrical guy by any means.

I originally found this in another battery relocation thread that I'll try to dig up later to credit the guy who posted the picture of it done, but that was the problem it was just a picture with no info lol

After multiple PM's and lots of thread reading I could only find two part numbers I needed and wasn't sure of all the parts needed or if they were correct. Called up my friend with a X and had him come over so I could get pictures of all the parts and look them up myself, here you go for the multiple other people with me that were asking about it

3 things:
Part Number: 8571A017 (Joint Wiring) This is the plastic part that everything bolts to and for you make a bracket for to mount in the bay)
Part Number: 8571A018 (Fusible Link Cover) The red cover over the fusible link to hide everything and make it clean looking)
Part Number: 8571A019 (Fusible Link) The fusible link that you will connect all your wires to

Ordered from JNZ Tuning

As far as wiring did you simply transfer all the wires running to the original terminal to this? Are the fuses the correct ones or did you have to change any of them out?

Awesome. I saw this about a year ago in some thread here (prob same on you saw it in, just a pic, no info). A bunch of cars that come into my shop have the battery relocated, but a mess in the front (usually an all tapped up connection). I tell people to do this, but never had the part # for it. Thanks

Thanks for sharing the part numbers. Did you run the battery cable from the front of the car to the trunk through the interior of the car? Or did you run it underneath the car?

Just out of curiosity did you use an in line fuse or breaker of some sort with this? What size power cable and ground did you use? Did you run the power cable through the firewall or fender? Thanks for sharing!

I'm curious as to how the additional cable length alters the electrical system. It should change draw, resistance, etc.

Need an electrical engineer to chime in here.
