Comp clutch product decision:
I'm running a 71 hta. 430whp/375tq. Trying to figure out how much torque capacity headroom to factor in. 450 WTq is the street disc, and the 4 puck does 575 I think. With segmented and 6 puck being in between.
My future goals include a mild increase in power, porting and reworking parts list but the turbo will be the same and cams too. I plan to only focus on regaining low rpm tq. This is where I believe the clutch life gets hard and I don't want to risk exceeding capacity based on overworking . I read the er review of the 0100 clutch .. I wanted that. But I'm not sure if 450tq rating is enough leeway. Any input is helpful.
Can these operate at or above rated operating capacity with moderate longevity in mind? I don't want to break drivetrain parts either. Clutches are cheaper.
5-10 ax events a year
2-4 drag days no hot lapping
Some street abuse
