replace mivec oil line?

Any body on here ever had to replace the MIVEC oil supply line on an Evo IX with the engine in the car? Mine is leaking and needs to be replaced. Just looking for some pointers. Does the intake mani have to come off?

No not at all it's a tight squeeze but u can do it with im attached. Did mine with the engine in when I put the map imbecile line on and had to put stock one on several times because the shop I had rebuild my engine messed it up and I couldn't get it to seal. Hardest part is getting the crush washers on both sides of the line.

Imbecile line? And i'm about to replace mine with a custom line... I went to remove it the other day and my adapter snapped before the bolt came loose... Apparently the adapter isnt sold seperately...

Can be done with intake m still on, I would get a custom line made and take the feed from the oil filter housing as there is better pressure there than the block.
