Huge evo 8 leak

I need some help from my fellow members; I have had this leak for a few weeks now and I can not find it. The leak is located in the red square in the picture below, it is a constant leak not a slow one. If you actually watch you can see it leak right down on to the engine mount and it will then slowly work it its way down to the lower crank area. Also, before you say "head gasket" it was just replaced with new Arp head stud and oem gasket.

Please give me suggestions or an answer I would really appreciate it.

There is a bolt for the motor mount on that side that needs to have RTV on it or it will leak. See post #11 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-install.html.

maybe the bottom corners of the exhaust cam cap closest to the cam gear? that needs rtv as well. maybe you are unable to spot it because its hidden good behind the cam gear.

Is the cam seal completely blown out and dripping down?

As for the RTV...I thought you only needed to put a dab there why reinstalling the valve cover, not the cam caps (at least the evomoto article doesn't mention it)

BOOM lol

if i remember correctly, the rtv helps seal the round oil seal around the cam end behind the cam gear, make sure its seated with like a big socket and tap it flush against the head surface. you have to lube it with oil prior to installing it, if its not the rtv perhaps its that seal not seated right or just not making a proper seal for some reason. good luck!

haha nice! Can't say I got leaks without doing that...but I certainly will be following those instructions in the next few days when my new cams come in. Thanks for the info!
