Engine Temp - Evo 6

hey team,

tried using search, but i need to know reccomended running temps for my evo 6
at the moment it fluctuates from 80 - 105 degrees celcius.

currently using the air con to cool down the engine when in traffic, it drops the engine temp back to 85 by drawing air through the radiator.

is this standard evo temps? or should i look at better cooling...

Is the other fan running? 105 C is near the boiling point of unpressurized 50/50 antifreeze. I point this out because many radiator caps don't hold pressure if not nearly new. With a working cap the boiling point would be nearer to 130 C. Anyway don't assume your old cap holds pressure. Test it or replace it.

Yeah, i thought it was high, even though people say they run hot anyway... i always make sure its running 80 degrees..... and if it spikes up i get a bit worried.

Ill start by replacing the radiator cap... just for good measure,
ill also take it to my evo rally mechanic and do a few checks...

you think the fan isnt turning on?
