what kind of coolant?
If you aren't in an area with any chance of freezing, straight distilled water with waterwetter is the best. The water has higher cooling abilities than 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water. The Waterwetter makes the water "slippreyer", lubricates the waterpump and reduces air pockets (steam pockets).

I would go with 35 Mitsubishi anti freeze / 65 distilled water + Red Line Water Wetter.
I don't know if it is placebo effect but I put reline WW in 3 different cars and I felt an improvement in the top end. I didn't notice a decrease of temperature because it is controlled by the fan and thermostat.
Obs: If someone knows bad things about Water wetter pelase let me know.

I put a little bit of coolant in the overflow tank, and top it off with water. With some coolant in there you wont risk freezing the water and causing the plastic overflow tank to crack.
