Evo VIII Front Diff Freeplay

Hey guys,

I just did an OEM RS LSD differential swap into my 2003 transfer case. When I was reassembling and turning the unit over or moving it around, I noticed it was making noise. I wondered what the noise was and it turns out that the RS LSD has about 1mm of wiggle room inside the transfer case.

I know this is a "floating diff" so how much freeplay is acceptable? Before anybody asks, yes I made absolutely sure I swapped over the plastic thrust washers.

If need be I can take a video of the movement, but it's pretty self-explanatory. The diff is able to move horizontally left or right about 1mm.
