just installed a new starter on my motor. the battery was dead prior to the install so after i connected the jumper cables up turn the ignition on the car does its usual light up but when i try to start it it makes a light crank and then ticking noise but it wont turn over and start any help needed asap thanks

 

Sounds like the battery is no good.

 

battery is new it just died from sitting for a month and the dome light was left on

 

Ya u got a bad battery. It happens. Exchange it through warranty if u can. I had to do mine twice. I learned to stay away from redline batteries.

 

yup it definetly was a terrible battery good thing its still on warranty thanks for the quick help
