Best Stroker kit??
Best Stroker kit??
I'm thinking on upgrading to a 2,3 stroker, but have found many different options and prices (buschur, map, etc)
Which one is the best setup?
what crankshaft, piston, rods???
I'm not looking for 1000 hp! probably will go for a black o similar turbo on the 2.3 and always pump tune.
I like to enjoy the car on the Street and casual drag
thanks for your opinion

There are a lot of good options out there for your goals.
Many of them will work fine, my car has a Buschur 2.3 in it. Some may consider his the best, all I know is he uses parts that work and he has a great reputation for building great motors.

For a FP Black on pump gas you're not going to need anything crazy. Don't get me wrong Buschur makes a badass 2.3L stroker motor. His 2.3RPM setup is solid. But that might be overkill for what you're trying to accomplish. My buddy has a budget built 2.3L: 4G64 100mm crank, Eagle H beam rods, and Wiseco 1400HD 9.0:1 pistons. And he is on E85 with a FP Green. He's putting down 520whp and 510wtq and it's got a insanely quick spool. All in all his setup cost less than 1500 bucks for the rotating assembly and he hasn't ran into one issue in the 15,000 miles he's put on it.

The most affordable kit I see is from map
Eagle crankshaft
Eagle or Manley H beam rod
Wiseco Pistons
ACL bearings
ARP main
$1649
Do you think buying each component individually it can be had for less???

Also you can source a good 4g64 crank for about $200 rather than paying $650 for a new Eagle.
I recently picked up an oem 100mm crank that just needs a light polishing for $200

I used to think like the OP but i have to agree with everyone else. For example myself I'm gonna build a 6266 on a 2.3L that will have a rev limit of 8500. I'm going a little overkill with Manley TT Crank, Manley TT rods, Wisco HD2 10.5 compression but I wanted something similar to the Buscher RPM. All I did was buy a clean used block brought the block to the machine shop with the parts and now I have a assembled RR block. Cheaper to do it yourself or buying the parts and taking your car/block to a shop or machine shop let them do the work
