Grinding after fluid change

Well I just changed my transmission fluid at 15k miles and used amsoil MTG tranny fluid. Let the car drain out the fluid and then finished up. I drive a 2003 Evo 8. Now the strange thing is that I'm having gear grinds in 4th and 5 only when shifting fast at high rpms. When driving normal no grinds in 4th but 5th seems like it would grind in I move into 5th with more force only when the car is hot. If the oil temp (I'm reading my engine oil temp) is cooler then it has no grinds at all. Could it really be that I need a rebuild or could I have underfilled the transmission or something else? Please, any help is appreciated.

sounds like you shift " fast" into 4th and 5th on a regular basis. Doing this cause parts to wear and if you have an 03, you have how many miles on the trans?
With that said Amsoil is some slick stuff, I use it as well, dont have a problem shifting. Oil is a little thinner when its cold or cool and thins out with heat. I am thinking that while cold you have just enough buffer and slowing down of syncros to have a smooth shift--when its get warm or hot it thins out just a bit removing that buffer speeding up the sycros and your getting a grind. However, parts wear and if you banging gears all the time then yep you have some wear thats made more apparent with a good synthetic gear lube. my .02

I definitely don't drive that way regularly. Not even occasionally. I did a pull while entering into the freeway and noticed the sound so it worried me.
