How big injectors before upgrading fuel system?

So I'm sending my Evo to get built in a few weeks but need some help on the injector side of things..

I will be pushing close to 600+hp. I currently have 1200cc injectors with a walbro 255 fuel pump. So I thought why not throw in bigger injectors before my tune so I don't have to go back and do that later. I have been running e85 on this fuel setup for some time now. After the build I also plan on running e85 and/or race gas so my question is..

What's the biggest size injectors to go with w/o upgrading the fuel pump/fuel system? Which injectors will also give me the most power and if I need to replace anything with the fuel system if I do go that big of injectors what would it be?

Thanks

You wont get more than 525hp out of a single walbro 255, and thats at its very limits. Trade that out for a walbro 450, e85 compatible. Injectors should probly be 1450cc, or higher if you might ever want more hp.
"Which injectors will also give me the most power" - injectors dont make hp, they support it, but dont make it.

Yah my fault lol. Well I mean if I'm looking for 600 and above, can I go 1600cc's or is that not necessary. And as far as the walbro goes, I'll go with the 450 but what would the benefits of a double pumper be at this point since I know a lot of people go that route?

600 whp on E85 is going to be tough to hit even on a 1450cc injector to be honest. I'm sure some guys here with Evo specific knowledge can tell you what they were able to make with what size injector at what fuel pressure, but with E85 especially my calculations show you'll need to at least bump your fuel pressure up to comfortably support that power level.

Our 2150cc injector is the popular choice when it comes to making 600 whp on a 4 cylinder setup. Because it is a newer technology high impedance injector it performs very nicely at the usually difficult short pulse width areas at idle and light throttle cruising, and of course it can delivery plenty of fuel to take you up over 800 whp.

Converting to high impedance is simple, we sell an inexpensive plug that you can replace your factory resistor box with, or you can do some cutting and soldering for free.99 .

I'll let the others here stick to the fuel pump recommendations since we really specialize in injectors but I do agree you're going to need a pump upgrade from that single 255.

Good luck and if there's anything else I can help answer I'll be happy to.
