Aftermarket fuel rail experiences

I'd like to hear from some folks who've installed aftermarket fuel rails e.g. Perrin or AEM. Was it an easy install, any surprises? Was it a transparent upgrade or did you have to retune afterward?

I am looking to install a new fuel rail primarily to get an extra port to hook up an FP gauge (would prefer not to cut any stock hosery).

Thanks!

Fuel pressure gauge adapter reviews welcome too (e.g. Pruven).

I had the Perrin fuel rail installed in my car. The installer said it was a bit of a hassle because of space problems. Also, they had leaks with the RC 660 injector seals. They replaced them with the stock seals and they stopped leaking. Other than that, the only other comment I have is that the gas mileage took a major dive.... Of course, that's not directly or even necessarily related to the fuel rail & injectors but it did happen after the installation of those items and the AEM EMS, walbro pump, DP, TP, and HKS suction intake................

dude i thought ur fuel milage should increase... aem EMS should lean out mixture... walbro only pumps more if u need it, intake only help you breathe better, and DP+TP helps also... all this only helps with efficiency.. did you also increase turbo PSI? since i got my catback, freeflow cat, intake and dynoflash, i've experienced slightly better mileage

I see no reason to upgrade the rail till you get to some extremely high HP numbers..its is plenty big inside
