Need a qucik response on AEM/K&N

Aem intake on backorder, may be switching to K&N Typhoon. Dyno wise they similar? Which one do you guys feel is better? Both very highly named companies just AEM is on backorder big time. Also I was looking at filter size and the AEM is a lot larger then K&N's, is it to large to serve a purpose or will that make it better? Kinda like a 3.5 inch catback is not an improvement over a 3 inch catback.

Thanks
Tim

Hi,

Friday afternoon is a fairly slow time, so fewer people to help you. I do not have either intake and cannot give you direct feedback, however, while you are waiting:

This thread has 37 replies concerning the typhoon intake. If you search on the AEM intake you will get many more threads. There should be more members this weekend who have experience with both intakes.

I don't think there would be a noticeable difference. They're both basically a short piece of piping with a filter on top. Get whichever one you prefer; you won't see a difference on the dyno.

I love my K&N Typhoon Intake .. sounds beautiful... just make sure to compensate for all that air, and either get a Flash or a S-AFC II
