Am i in need of a Bigger FMIC

Hey all i currently have a evo 7 which will undergo tuning soon. I have done a few mods and will be running on 98 octane (93 for you Americans) As e85 isn't in my country.

Mods
Ported JB HTA Green
Ported manifold
megan o2 housing
3" TBE
AMS LICP
PTE 1000's
HKS 280 cams.
3 Port GM

im sure i've forgot some stuff but thats the main lot, now im only aiming for 400whp which i hope is doable on that setup. Will i need a FMIC i've heard some people saying its good for that power level some others have said not to much. If i need one what would you guys recommend I know the obvious like ETS and AMS but those are $$$$$ to ship to New zealand. Any japanese brands do good Front mounts? Greedy? HKS?

Cheers In advance Any questions please ask

I was wondering about the same thing, as I'm aiming for 400hp too on a stock E9, got a Tomei M7960 turbo, 1200cc injectors. I just ordered an AMS FMIC & Injen IC piping kit. The new FMIC is likely to increase turbo efficiency resulting in mid to hi end power gains. But I'm worried about increased turbo lag.
Greddy offers a budget FMIC, the type-LS which is meant for stock sized turbos. HKS offers two cores for 400hp & 450hp. both are quality products.

I would suggest ETS 3.5" or 4" it will be well worth it. They will never heat soak at that power level.

I would recommend the ETS 3.5" intercooler as well. If you need a shipping quote send me a PM w/ your complete address.

you can make 400 with the stock intercooler, but that baby is going to heat soak especially if you go to the drag strip and do multiple passes. I would recommend a 3.5" intercooler, and go with ETS!
