Rebuilding the exedy twin hd
I've searched so no flames however I need to know what is really needed in this list.
DM13DA Exedy Replacement Disc Section A
DM13DB Exedy Replacement Disc Section B
IM01 Exedy Floater Plate For Evo Twin Clutch
Exedy Replacement Pressure Plate Ring for TwinPlate PP02
EXEDY WAVE LOCK RETAINING CLIP $30
MR145619 : 1 : $66.16 (release bearing)
MD770376 : 1 : $46.68 (clutch fork)
CT9ASHAFTKIT : 1 : $34.06 (shaft, felt bushings, springs)
Obviously I know resurfacing the flywheel is needed as well as removing the same amount from the pillars. And polishing and cleaning off the fingers and basket as per jacks transmission
Do the floater and pressure plate ring need replacing or are they resurface able or just drop in the new discs
There are too many options for the rebuild kits so I'm trying to make this easier and so I don't buy things I don't need.
The twin has about 70-80k miles and not seriously abused. Not much drag racing except for a few stop lights with other cars and bikes. Some track use but mostly highway blasts and back roads. And daily driving. It's just starting to slip at the top rpms/boost of each gear.
Opinions advice is welcome and needed. Thanks
