Bought a modified ix went on a couple test drives everything was fine. Well first outing out harmonic balancer came off at a stop light. Seller comes gets it new parts timed and it's running again.

But car won't go in gear while running And rolls when trying to crank it in gear with clutch to the floor. No I haven't tried anything including bleeding the hydraulic bearing. I drove till clutch broke free and went driving and car jumped timing this time valves were bent. So clutch was fine till harmonic balancer came off next time it was running clutch was doing this. And clutch was quiet not marking the noise it normally does chattering at idle. Does it need to be just bled?

 

Did it ever lose pedal pressure? I had a balance fly off and when it did the timing belt skipped teeth and I got lucky nothing was hurt but it was caused by the bolts on the flywheel breaking. Another friend had a similar problem and it was a broken crank. I am surprised it doesn't make noise. Hopefully it is nothing but I would say to pull trans and inspect everything.

 

no never lost pedal pressure. cant imagine its that surely a broken crankshaft you would hear something. When I inspected it the second time when it jumped timing the tensioner pulley had came completely undone. so car hasnt ran again clutch on back burner till head is back on and running. can that be caused by jerking the clutch free?
