Is anything salvageable from my motor?

So unfortunately a few months ago I was driving and lost my oil drain plug. By the time I noticed the oil light I'm afraid it was too late. The car shut off on me and had to be towed. I've been so busy I have not had the time to touch anything on the car. Sadly I had just spent a lot of money on a built shortblock and was only able to drive the car for 3 hours after the tune on it. I know the turbo was starved and will need a rebuild but I'm curious to what I'll be able to reuse in the next rebuild as far as pistons rods crank and the whole head assembly.. Thanks

Rods MIGHT be salvageable. Highly like everything will be junk since it shut itself off. Only way to know is to tear it down...

Dang what a slump! Something that simple can cause fatal damage.

That can depend on if the crank ate through the unoiled thrust washer and ate up the block. Also, cylinders can get pretty torn up when run without oil.

Thoroughly wash/replace anything that touches oil. Have a machine shop wash the head, buy a new oil cooler, buy new oil pump, send turbo in to be inspected. Rebuilding an engine that spun a bearing is expensive and more labor intensive. It's cheaper to spend more money now and go through everything than to do this all over again.
