Exedy Twin HD question #2

I'm currently mounting a 6266 on my fully built 2L and I'm just curious if that will hold. I know the torque rating is about 535 ft/lbs but it seems they are a little more robust than that. Will I be able to push 700HP on this granted the torque won't be that high?

Buschur Racing went 680HP on an Exedy Twin..

it should hold fine rolling into it. and likely die on first hard launch attempt.

I've seen exedy twins start slipping with a modest 450tq.

I'll witness for this as I ran a twin and it lasted maybe 3k miles but I pushed it and if I could redo it I would go with the Quartermaster 8 Leg you can do the street strip rated to 600 ft/lbs of torque. Remember power means nothing it's torque. I have the 8 leg Race no reason to push a critical component again. Get the Quartermaster imo.

so you're saying I should just go with the street 8 leg quartermaster? that will support my goals of 800whp? I understand that's not a measure of torque. I'm just ignorant as to what torque levels to expect with a maxed out 6262

If you want to push get the race. Are you confident in your driving? You have to re learn how to drive lol. It's the best clutch for the bang. 800 he roughly 520 torque or more. I love the race version tricky to drive at first but 10 minutes and I was fine. Also no more retaining clip it's a Hydraulic Release bearing.

I am confindent in my driving. I do know from experience that a rough/quick engaging clutch is a PITA to drive frequently. You also risk subjecting the tranny to wear. I had an Exedy Stage 3 clutch on my old LS/VTEC and it was very unforgiving.

This is why I'd prefer going with an Exedy Tripple. I'd have a better driveability factor..of course the retaining clip would haunt me. I have a clutch fork stop and monoloc collar ready to go but I don't know if I could sleep at night.

I daily the evo, this clutch is not harsh as its just quick if you can't slip it right. I ditched the Exedy Triple as I kept eating hubs and most people are going quartermaster because their cheaper to buy and rebuild. Just my opinion tring to help.
