Well have been making some calls and it seems like the IX thermostat housing is not made anymore.

Part# md363250 (IX)
Part #1305a043 (VIII)

A few sites I have seen reference that both VIII and IX have the same housing which is not true. See picture.

IX on the right VIII on the left.

Is there a replacement part that I am not aware of or am I screwed and need to find a used one somewhere?

doesnt include stat or cover , same as evo6 /7 and 9 you are correct evo8 is different they dont have the bypass
