2.3 TS what turbo?

2.3 SD tephra 7
2150s
pump street, e85 race
stock 8 turbo

In debate over something stock appearing vs something twin scroll.
I mostly drive the car on the street, But I think I would sacrifice some spool for more top end.
Engine builder gapped rings tight hp limit around 750.
Dont just comment red/ black/ green etc. Tell me why

Was seriously considering a BW EFR until I have heard about some failures recently.
Open to ideas

DYNO graphs if you got em please!

FP Black can get you DEEP into the 10's, and on a stroker the "lag" is no issue.

Stroker + FP Black = ultimate street/strip car

Any one got any graphs of this setup?
I have heard different about response but then again that was probably on a 2.0.

What I really need is a useable powerband.
Most of these will make nice numbers, But Im not reving the **** out of my 2.3

Search in the dyno tuning and results forum. There are plenty of people that have done that combo.

For example:

only thing I could find on my laptop real quick is a 4th gear pull on Buschur's dyno. Yeah it's 4th gear, but it's representative of reality.

If that powerband isn't good enough I don't know what to say other than get a V8

Your original post lacks a horsepower/torque goal, how the car is really going to be used (fast street car or racing in Mexico?), and what you expect for spool. More information will be far more helpful than a general request.

Guess it was mostly early production. I cannot find any other recent threads about a failure. Google EFR failure, and you will see a handful of people with a similar issue. From what I have read the turbine usually separates somehow and goes missing.

I cant remember the exact gap, but I remember he mentioned mid 700hp range.

What would be optimal for primary street car, weekend Mexican racing?
I guess I am really asking for the perfect balance of both. Or whatever would get me the closest

everyone has their own definition of street car setup.

I'd consider FP Black or 3586. Well, i guess 6466 is in the equation then too.

Like I said earlier, a Black will run low 10's on the regular. The 3586/6466 will sacrifice spool when jacking off on the street, but pull more on rolls.

Based on my experience with a 6266, I think a 62mm turbo (6262 or 6266) on a 2.3 stroker would be a lot of fun for a car that is used on the street a lot (good power and spool).

6266 on a 2.0L does a bit better then the FPblack IMO. Ive had FPGreen, FPBlack, 3586, 6266 and now 6466. 6266 by the best turbo I have had so far. 702/528@39

psi on mustang dyno.

I personally love the 62mm turbos. My 6262 rocks my socks on my 2.4L.

The EFR "issues" were only very early production. I have not seen any issues from them in a long time. You need a twinscroll 8374!! It will feel soooo much better on the street than a comparable Precision imo
