Hey guys, did many searches and could not find this. I am not talking about the boost restrictor, this is actally on the intake hose near the mass air sensor. On my 90 eclipse gs, there was a cardboard and aluminum star shaped restrictor in the intake pipe, is this still present on evos? It was good for faster spool and 5-8 horse gain ( old mustangs 86-90's had this too). I have not had time to check our intake out yet, wondering if anyone knows offhand as it is dark outside now!! No, even 2Gs didn't have this.

 

2gs? what do you mean? my car that had it was a 1990 eclipse gs turbo same 4g63 as in evo (almost, but without sodium filled valves, only 190 hp stock, etc... ) , but that was 14 years ago. Forgive me, I am 32 yrs old and married and have been away from the performance game for way to long, time to get back into it!!!!!!!!!!

 

2G as in DSM=Diamond Star Motors (aka Talon/Eclipse/Laser). 2Gs were 95-99 models. The air restrictor you speak of was only applicable to 90-94 models.
