FP WGA came apart

was at the track last weekend. went out for my first session and the car had no boost. boost would creep to about 8 psi at red line.

I came in and saw that the WGA rod was pulled all the out. Took the WGA out and the rod came off. i had a stock WGA at home but i didn't have time to drive home and back to at least put down a competitive lap. so i pried the top off to see if i could fix it. the nut for the rod backed off. i was able to get the nut on and crimp the top back on with pliers. got the back back together and won both days. thanks to who ever it was that had his friend brought a stock one to the track sunday morning for me as a backup.

this is the 18 psi wga.
it's another item to put in the spare parts box to bring to track.

Good job fixing that on site. I would have had no idea what to do, but now I know to bring my stock WGA along to the track. Thanks for sharing.

Does that end of the actuator rod have right hand, or left hand threads?

you getting a new one, or going to stake the nut or something? Awesome work getting it race ready on the spot

i'm just going to throw this one away. only wanted to fix it to run for the weekend. don't know how tight the diaphragm seal is after i crimped it with pliers.

i have a used Forge WGA that i'm going to take apart to see the condition and if it needs rebuilt. or get a new Forge piston style WGA and dont have to worry about the diaphragm ripping.
