weird boost sound

weird boost sound

what is this sound coming from my turbo when i floor it, its like the bov is sputtering, its real faint but youll hear it.

Yeah I took the tomei bov off and swapped for a greddy rs. And I took the stock cat off and put a high flow on

You check the spring on the BOV? U sure its tight enough? Could be to loose and allowing boost out. I had that happen to me before

I just did that. I took the greddy off and put the old one on. It still does it. Wot afr is at 13.6

ok so i scanned my codes and of course its pulling up an 02 sensor code due to the high flow cat. if i put the stock cat back on could that fix my afr's?

Do you have a 3port ebcs? If so that might be the solonoid doing its thing by rapidly pulsing for boost control. Mine does that at WOT also, I'm guessing that's what it is

No I don't think I have an ebcs. I do have a Hallman MBC tho lol. It started doing it after I changed the cats out. So a friend of mine thinks the engine cant keep up with the turbo. So the wastegate flutters until the motor catches up. Which kind of makes sense I suppose ha ha

Any photo of the BOV? it may be installed wrong way, my Tomei did that when I installed it wrong after cleaning up my engine, silly me.
