ACD Failure Just Coincidence?

Hey, so last night I was installing my buschur under hood 6 speed shifter bushings for my evo 9 Mr. Everything went smoothly and the job was very easy and rewarding, love the new feel. One issue i noticed today when I started driving was within a quarter of a mile from my house all three ACD lights came on. I realize this typically means a failed pump but I have not done anything with the drive train since the clutch install 4 or 5 months ago. I was wondering if this is just coincidence that as i was doing a very simple task a much bigger issue came about or if when I was moving the shifter arms around if there is something I could have screwed up. Also what is the C shaped arm coming out of the top of the transmission? That was moved around slightly and I am not sure if that could have caused this? Any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully it didn't just go on me.

100% not related. Try bleeding the system. If that doesn't fix it, you prob need a new pump.

So everything I read says to bleed by ignition on without turning over then gas pedal. I hear a click when I depress the gas pedal then hold for 5 to 10 seconds then release. After that about 10 seconds later I hear a click and all three lights come on. Is the pump even activating? As in can I even bleed it the regular way? I have a 1.3 cable but not sure how to use it for acd actuator.

you also have to open the bleeder on the bottom of tcase while someone does the key/gas pedal stuff. Takes two people..

I've never been successful using Evoscan's ACD actuator to bleed the system.

Instead do as Letsgetthisdone has suggested. It'll take two people unfortunately but is quite easy. Key in 2nd ignition floor the gas and crack open the bleeder. It doesnt come out that fast but be sure to keep topping off the ACD reservoir so it doesnt suck in air. Hope you find some air bubbles in there and it solves your problem!

I had my girlfriend in the car while i was under checking the bleeder. I had the valve pretty far open. Initially while car was off it was a semi fast drip, ignition on and pedal down for 10 seconds...during this period the dripping completely halted. When she released the pedal it started at the same speed maybe 2 drips per second. We did the whole ignition on pedal down 7 times. I went 2 more over the suggested 5 because I wanted to open the bleeder more to see if it changed the flow. Which it increased it slightly. The level went from about a half inch above max to quarter inch above max through the whole process. Should it have bled at a faster pace? Sound like my pump is failing? Kinda stuck at this point since I can't seem to find anyone with a video to compare my bleed rate to.

Mine shoots out a decent stream. It definitely doesn't just drip...

Look up how to pull the ACD codes buy making a paper clip jumper and counting the blinks and pauses, there is a thread on how to do this. I'm willing to bet your pump impeller is shot and not building pressure.

Used the paper clip jumper and got 82. Read that this is an electric pump system fault. So does this mean my pump is shot or is there a possibility that its not building pressure and I can just rebuild it? Thanks

If you here the motor running, its likely an issue with the hydraulic side of it. either a valve, or the hydraulic pump are having issues. Contact English Racing, I remember reading they were sourcing parts to rebuild..

I was reading another thread on here where someone had the same situation as me and was suggested to check the relay and fuse. I checked those out and my 60 A fuse is blown but I cant seem to find where to buy it. Any ideas on where I can purchase this or at least what that is even called to search for?

Ya I thought about that but I wasn't sure if there is a better place since the mitsu dealer will be pricey. I think I found one on Ebay for $20.
