Should I run this block?

Have a groove in the cylinder totally above the ringland. Should I go ahead and run it?

I don't think the rings go up that high, and its not very deep. I'd probably run it.

Was it there before the machine work was done? It looks like it got gouged with the hone..

that is so weird... machine shop ****up? lol but i dont see it doing any harm..headgasket is unaffected... and the top compression ring wont be any where near that..so basically yes.

that pic makes it look deeper. I might be concerned about that piece breaking off.

Do you have a caliper with a depth gauge to see how deep it is?

Looks like machining/honing was done without a torque plate.

Yeah I'd be worried about it possibly breaking off. Not super likely, but definitely a possibility given a lot of pressure.

The picture makes it look like there is a crack in the wall too, whats up with that.
