boost solutions(stroker kit)
is the 2.3 stroker kit that you guys have for sale as yet to the public?
also...I already have pistons and rods..
so would that mean that i would just have to change the rods and the crank?
whats the price of the kit...or the individual parts?
thanks.

well man i dont know how this applies to 4 cyclinder strokers i imagine its the same but the wrist pin in the piston is at a different postion longer rods different stroke crank... basically you will have to buy the entire rotating assembly.... Im refering to V-8 strokers but i dont see it being any different...... same concept...
I've seen kits by both Toda and JUN. The Toda kit might be less money. I think you can boost displacement using a different short block as well, there was a thread on it a while back.
In the Burschur website tech forums David Burschur recomends against stroker kits, but I'm not sure of his specific experiences. A former member (Claudius) had a JUN 2.2 kit(?) and was very happy with it; he specifically warned people off of the Toda kit, but I don't remember why. Again, there should be a searchable thread for it. That's about all I've heard.

Hi guys,
actually we just our test engine back, It is in the car, but not everything is hooked up on it. Within a day or two it will be on the road. Within a week, we will post dynos.
To answer your question: the pistons are NOT just regular Evo8 4g63 pistons. You have to get the whole assembly. But it will be way cheaper than $5K.
No need to quote you a price now, before we have finished testing the product....

Hi everyone. Boost Solutions, glad to see that your kit is coming on, and that it will be below $5k. That will make it extremely competitive in the stroker market. It’s all looking good for you guys and I see that soon the car will be as mental as everyone hoped. On the other front, you do need different pistons in a stroker set up. Because you are increasing the length of the stroke, you need to reduce the length of the piston/rod assemble or your piston will just smash into the head. The best way is to install pistons with the pin closer to the crown. I think on the 4G64 crank (which will give you a 2.3ltr) that some in the UK that are using, it is 6mm, but for others I’m not shore. On the rods, I don’t know. I assume that as long as you keep a good rod ratio (around 1.65 I think on the 4G63) then you are ok. You do have to alter the rev limit though. But this will depend on what the pistons can take. I am not certain on this so I anyone can help then please do.
Thanks Chris.
Thanks Chris.

Ok. I finally got an Evo. I know. Welcome to the party...everyone's already passed out or went home. Well, damn. I had to tell someone. Look at my user number for cripes-sake! Anyway...giving this post a bump 'cause I really want to see what this stroker kit is going to do. Glad to finally be DRIVING with you guys.
Toda has their kit out for 3100$, supposed to give 50hp gains with 500hp holding possible. Over on Buschurs forums though, David told me he does not recomend going this route, plenty of power can be made with proper engine building on the 2.0.
From what I have heard from some of the guys over here in the UK, the Toda looks very similar to the standard 4G64 crank!!! As for the power thing, Norris design is producing quite a bit on a 2.2 JUN stroker!
Ditto on the question about redline...I love hearing engines screaming up high. Also, how reliable would this stroker kit would be, and what would it be bale to hold power wise, safely?

Redline should be about 9000 rpms.
But let us test all that on our Evo8. If the kit withholds teh power and redline of the HKS T51R SPL turbo, then it will be good for anything...
