^ the sad part is it didn't make the noise before the bracket and other timing belt work.

Just thought I would take extra steps and get the bracket

I got the new bracket, but haven't installed it yet. It didn't come with studs for the engine mount. Are people pulling out the studs from their old bracket or just buying new ones?

Bump for any info on the noise (this is not the normal IX timing belt noise that is fixed with bracket)

No updates since my last post. Still makes the noise at idle when warm. Still drives perfectly fine. I have not had the motivation to swap in the box of parts - might make a good holiday weekend project.

Figured I'd update this. I don't drive the car much. Maybe 10-15 miles a week. The noise is gone now. I always take it on the same route on the weekend, stop for a minute at the same spot after 2-3 miles, and it would consistently make the noise. I haven't heard it in several months. From reading other thread it sounds like it's common for it to just go away.

^ Sounds good. Mine still makes the noise but I drive 10-15 miles every 2-4 weeks so it might take a while. Every so often though I get this non rythimc tapping
